Need a quick meal to make sure your weight loss and strength stay on track? This could be called weight loss Thai Holy Basil, instead the original name will stick. And yes cooked in under half an hour.
Quick Thai Holy Basil Shrimp for Weight Loss
4-6 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Thai Holy Basil
Crushed Garlic
2-4 Thai Ghost Chili Peppers Crushed or Chopped Fine
2-3 Tablespoons Coconut Aminos
Pink Salt / Sea Salt to taste
1 Bag Trader Joe’s Kohlrabi Vegetable Pasta
1 Bunch Kale
½ Lb Shrimp
First heat the skillet. I like cast iron the best. Next add the coconut oil. Add peppers and garlic next. Allow peppers and garlic to flavor the oil. You’ll know once they soften. Add shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes. Cut center stalks from the kale and chop and put in the pan first as those take longer to soften. Once stalks soften add kale leaves (cut to your preference). Almost done, add Kohlrabi and Thai Holy Basil and cook 4-10 minutes depending on your preference. Finish by adding Coconut aminos before the noodles/pasta is done.
Feel free to play with this recipe. Traditionally fish sauce, oyster sauce, and soy sauce are used. The coconut aminos make it safe for anyone with soy allergies. You can have 2-3 servings of vegetables here and you can trade kale for other leaves that have more potassium like say Swiss Chard. Swap chicken or lentils for the shrimp.
